We view diving as a fun, relaxing, intellectually and spiritually fulfilling endeavor. Therefore we have no arbitrary time limit on the dives and we travel very slowly underwater, wanting you to see and experience as much as possible. You are free to dive with one of us, having us show you creatures and behaviors we know well or be off a-ways in your own world. You will not hear us banging on our tanks underwater, see us herding people around or chasing and harassing marine life. We're here to accompany you on an adventure that we hope will become one of your cherished diving memories.

Started in 1979, Mike Severns Diving has become known for taking small groups of comfortable certified divers to both popular and off-the-beaten-path areas for truly educational, personalized diving. Diving in Hawaii is strikingly different from diving in many other parts of the world (fully a quarter of the marine life can be found only in Hawaii!) and an experienced guide can make a world of difference. Our crew is very experienced and safety conscious, and we put no restrictions on dive time as long as computers and air allow. Perhaps the words of our divers best describe the experience we offer.

We typically do two-tank boat dives off of Molokini and Maui and the divers (and the weather) determine exactly where we will dive on any given day. When we have people who have been diving with us before, of course we try to make sure they see different places. We cater to photographers in that we have photography experience ourselves and know what subjects photographers are likely to want and what they cannot photograph in other parts of the world. Because we travel slowly underwater, photographers have time to spend with the animals instead of trying to keep up with a group covering as much terrain as possible. We can't say enough about the photography opportunities in Hawaii. They are superb, both above and below water. And if you come during humpback whale season, you can add them to your list of subjects!
